Will you go to hell if you say curse words?
wikiHow Contributor
Community Answer
Saying curse words is not a mortal sin. Mortal sins are sins that directly break one of the Ten Commandments. If you truely love God and do not die in a state of mortal sin, you will go to heaven. However, swearing is a venial (minor) sin, and you should try your best not to.

Can we confess our sins directly to God?

Yes. See Mark 2:7: Who can forgive sins but God only?

Avoid committing the unforgivable sin. "Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come" (Matthew 12:22-32)". It is when a person denies the holy spirit to the point that their heart is hardened, that he can no longer hear the holy spirit. When the holy spirit talks to you and you cannot hear him because you rejected him to the point your heart is hardened, the holy spirit will leave you forever. Don't deny the holy spirit. Also, those that fear that they did commit blasphemy against holy spirit have not done so.

Will I go to hell if I have sex before marriage?

Community Answer
It depends on who you ask. Some denominations do believe that having sex before marriage is a sin that must be forgiven like any other, but other denominations don't believe that this is a huge concern.

The Bible tells us that everyone will exist eternally either in heaven or hell. Hell is mentioned in the Bible numerous times including in Matthew 8:12, which says, “The children of the kingdom will be driven out into the darkness where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth". Hell is also mentioned related to internal destruction in 2 Thessalonians 1:9 which says, “These will pay the penalty of eternal ruin, separated from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power”. Hell is also described in great detail in Revelation 14:11 which says, “The smoke of the fire that torments them will rise forever and ever, and there will be no relief day or night for those who worship the beast or its image or accept the mark of its name”. As believers, we know that hell is very real but it is still a confusing notion. Descriptions of hell are dark and scary. While it’s not easy to wrap our minds around it, as Christians we have to fully understand it to understand God and His love for us. Here are six myths we need to shatter about hell.

ou know that you only have one life to live here on Earth. And you would like to prepare now for the after life. It is your personal hope that you will spend eternity with God the Father, and avoid being separated from Him in Hell for all eternity.

Will I go to hell if I watch pornography and masturbate?
wikiHow Contributor
Community Answer
No, as long as you are a Christian. Romans 8:1 "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." This means that if you are in Christ Jesus, you will not go to hell. If you are a Christian, and you are watching porn and such, you need to stop watching and confess to God. However, He will forgive you for it.

Will God forgive me for listening to devil worshipper songs?
Melody Taylor Suttles
Community Answer
There is no sin God has not forgiven. To be a Christian and sin means that we pay for our sins now while we live on earth by the decisions we make. God in heaven wants our lives here to be rich in life and well-being, but He does not let our sin separate us from Him. If you feel guilty and know in your heart that you aren't happy with some of your choices, then pray for strength to give it all up to Him. He is happy when we are honest with Him.

I killed my pet bird once and asked God for forgiveness. Am I going to heaven or hell?
wikiHow Contributor
Community Answer
If you truly feel bad about killing that bird, you would ask for forgiveness. God would purify you. But it all depends on if you really meant that you'd try to turn from all sin from then on. God won't ever un-save you, so if you devote yourself to God, you're living forever. But we do answer to God for all our mistakes.

Hell Doesn’t Exist

You may be surprised how many believers don’t believe or accept that hell exists. For those who doubt it, God has given us substantial evidence that Hell does exist in His infallible message to us. If you don’t believe hell exists, consider these words from Jesus: “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him” (Luke 12:4-5). If you don’t believe hell exists, you don’t trust God’s Word or truth.
