ANTIFASCIST STRUGGLE AND STATE TRIAL AGAINST FASCIST PARTY GOLDEN DAWN IN GREECE

On Tuesday, 14th of February another court hearing in the trial against Greek fascist party Golden Dawn took place in Athens. Golden Dawn that is a fascist parliamentary political party with hit-squads operating also in the streets is among other things responsible for the murder of antifascist activist and rapper Pavlos Fyssas in 2013 and for the murderous attack carried out against the anarchist-antiauthoritarian social center “Antipnoia” in 2008.

At the courthouse anarchists and antifascists clashed with neonazis and police, the court proceeding was cancelled and postponed. We speak about the trial against Golden Dawn, about the analysis and strategies of the antifascist movement with a comrade from Anarchist Political Organization - Federation of Collectives that was one of the organizations that called for antifascist gathering at the trial against Golden Dawn.

“Within the constant international destabilization and shock of the systemic political constants, the great potentials for revolutionary emancipation are being born. Against them the counter-revolutionary far-right and fascist version of modern totalitarianism is formed as the last barrier to the evolution of social history, which proceeds through the continuous struggle for freedom and equality. War and Fascism, this is the system’s “response” to its overall and deep crisis, its own contradictions which are produced by the incurable conflict imposed by its basic principle, the exploitation and suppression of one human being by another”.

"We have no illusions that fascism can be crushed in courtrooms. Fascism can be defeated in the streets by the people of the struggle and we perceive the presence of the movement in this trial as one more barrier against fascists and the state which attempts to whitewash them and to disorient society about the inextricable relation with them."

ANTIFAŠISTIČNA MOBILIZACIJA PROTI LUKOV MARŠU V SOFIJI

V nedeljo, 12. februarja se je v Sofiji, v Bolgariji, odvila mednarodna antifašistična demonstracija proti napovedanemu shodu skrajne desnice – tako imenovanemu Lukov maršu. Shoda se je skupaj z grškimi tovariši in tovarišicami udeležil tudi naš dopisnik iz Soluna, ki nam razloži za kakšen shod gre in kakšne so - v kontekstu močne in vseprisotne skrajne desnice - perspektive antifašističnega gibanja v Bolgariji.
