A Session with Tadiman
Tadiman (Tadej Tratnik) is a frontman, musician, producer and one of the pioneers of Slovenian reggae culture.
He started his musical career as a resident reggae selector in 1995 in Pekarna (Maribor, Slovenia).
From 1996 to 2008 he worked as a head of reggae musical broadcast called Jah-meka-man on radio Marš (95*9 Mhz).
Most people know Tadiman as a singer and an author of music and lyrics at slovenian reggae group called
Siti hlapci, which is being active for more than seventeen years. In 2009 he also began working as a singer with the Italian group called Makako jump, with whom he hosted more than 100 concerts throughout Italy.
Currently, he is also active in Italy with the band from Udine called Rub a dub. As a bass player, guitarist, and
drummer, Tadiman so far cooperated with global and European singers such as Skarra Mucci, Bigga Ranx, Raphael,
Jahcoustix, Momar Gaye, Hornsman Koyote, Roots man I, Mad Professor & Sane Animators and many others.
His great love is showcase performances with sound systems. In his musical history Tadiman as a singer performed
at over 300 concerts across Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany,
Croatia and Switzerland and introduced his music at various festivals such as Szighet, Rototom Sunsplash,
Uprising festival, Soca Reggae Riversplash, Venice Sunsplash, One Love Festival, Seasplash, Lent, Mandy took and many others. His work includes three albums which he recorded with his band Siti hlapci and two albums played with Makako Jump. His musical repertoire includes more than 10 albums of material, still waiting to be recorded.
