Aaah, summer - that long anticipated stretch of lazy, lingering days, free of responsibility and rife with possibility. It's a time to hunt for insects, master handstands, practice swimming strokes, conquer trees, explore nooks and crannies, and make new friends.

 

Summer time...

Its children playing in the park, running wild, aimless, endless,

Sreaming, shouting, wet from sweat, sprinkles, pools, hydrant

And just about anything they can get their hands on.

Summer time...

Its ladies wearing short, shorts

Black, white, pink and bright

Loose, tight, some not right, still they are all in sight.

Summer time...

Its guys hanging in the streets

Watching girls patrolling on feet

Calling, whistling, saying names

And wondering how to get their game.

Summer time...

Its extra cops on the beat,

Keeping things prospective and neat

Making sure that everyone does what is

Right and avoid the wrongs.

Summer time...

Is for bride and groom, saying I do's in private rooms

And sometimes in the most public ways

However it's done, it's ther time of year.

Summer time...

Is just pure fun, it's the season loved by almost everyone.
